Yup yup! That’s me! And as you can see I LOVE talking! I’m always the one to make life just a little bit louder! If you ask anyone that truly knows me, my voice is loud! Not necessarily in volume, but in my message. I’m never scared to speak my mind for those who have lost their voices. This branches out to my fight with the civil rights and equality. My voice is the tool I can share with the world for the better of all human beings. All I have to do is be loud enough to be heard! My goal in life is to always learn. Yes we learn every single day no matter how old we are but how many people live their life open it? I know that I come to school to learn and its more important then grades themselves since grades are supposedly a reflection of how much we learn. But it seems like society will never let me do that since all academic courses need to get grades. I know that colleges want to see those two numbers and either your in or your out. They don’t care about how much growth I’ve had since my freshman year yet they do care about how many AP’s you take or your 4.5 GPA and 33 on the ACT. I just wish that for once people graded me for what I’ve become. And I want everyone to consciously be learning for the better of themselves and not just for money.

I really wouldn’t change much. Yes I have learned a lot but I am still the same person. But that doesn’t mean sociology didn’t have an impact. It changes the way I have looked at race and social class. One major change would be who cares if school don’t grade you on your growth. I’d hope then when I finish college, then all my life lessons will help me find the jobs that those people who didn’t grow wont get. As long as I know I learned I am happy.
Sorry if you expected more, but I am still the same great person I was before but with more knowledge on the world.
